The body of your plan should be spread over a series of sections. This Guide uses the following main sections:

4. Present Status
5. Product/Service Offerings
6. Profiles of Target Markets
7. Marketing Strategies & Sales Plans
8. Technology and R&D
9. Operational/Manufacturing Plans
10. Management & Administration
11. Financial Projections
12. Funding Requirements & Proposals
13. Implementation
14. Conclusion

These follow on from the 1. Introduction and 2. Summary. The order and scope of the sections within your plan should be decided at the very outset when compiling the Contents list of the plan.

Consider starting each main section on a new page even though this might appear to increase the length of your plan.

Detailed material relevant to a particular section should be placed in an Appendix at the very back of the plan. This ensures that the flow of your plan is not disrupted by excessive detail.
